![]() Only one variation of Clive is currently available in Heroes, based on his Echoes: Shadows of Valentia incarnation.ĭespite Clive's lowest inherent rarity being four-star, some skill information pertaining to a three-star version of Clive is known.Ĭlick here for more details on supports. He makes for a solid unit during the early and mid sections of the story, but don't expect him to be amazing in the late-game.Ĭlive is one of the characters added to the game in the Nohrian Summer update, and was made available to players in the third edition of the Tempest Trials, "Reunited at Last", which initially ran from Augthrough August 25, 2017. However, he is far from the best one in the game, as Mathilda surpasses him in offense and long term potential, while Zeke surpasses him in every way aside from availability. #Fire emblem echoes clive PatchUpon promoting to a Dread Fighter, he will regain his Movement from when he was a Cavalier, and the class's skills will patch up his abysmal Resistance, allowing him to at least survive magic attacks.Ĭlive isn't a bad unit by any means, as Cavalier is always a good class to be in. If the player decides to use the DLC Pitchfork on Clive, he makes for a good Mercenary, increasing his Skill and Speed. However Clive can still be a decent unit in act 4 if he's promoted to gold knight, as gold knight bases are very high. The other obstacle with Clive comes from his competition, including Mathilda, Zeke, any Cavalier-promoted villager, and even Mycen to some extent, with the former two being formidable and easily surpassing Clive. Aside from HP and Attack, 55% and 40% respectively, they are all on the low side, putting him at risk of not keeping up with the other units in the long run. Unfortunately, Clive's prowess is limited by a couple of factors, the most important being his low growth rates. His Attack will likely be among the highest, and his HP, Skill, Speed, and Defense are decent, making him a solid unit when he joins and throughout the early game. Clive won't be able to double the act 3 cavaliers at base, so he will need an early promotion into paladin for +1 speed and a point from the speed shrine to be able to effectively one round the enemy cavaliers with a forged ridersbane.Ĭlive's joining level will be on par with the rest of the army, and so will his base stats. He's also considered to be the best wielder of the ridersbane for most of act 3, before Mathilda joins, due to Claire and villager cavalier needing far more training to promote into paladin and not having his great bulk. He comes equipped with a Steel Lance, a valuable weapon for any lance wielder. His high mobility is a great asset on the battlefield, especially since most units are stuck to a Movement range of 4 or 5. This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.Ĭlive is the first Cavalier obtained in Alm's route, unless one of the villagers was made into one. Recruitment: Act 1, talk with Alm at Deliverance Hideout When Alm and his group arrived at the resistance's headquarters within a shrine, Clive requested that Alm take over as its leader and joined his group, fighting in the remainder of the war with Rigel. 3 Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. When Alm came in Mycen's stead to join the liberation, Clive ceded leadership of the army to Alm's command instead. It lies in a man's actions!Ĭlive (Japanese: クレーベ Clerbe) is the former leader of the Deliverance, a resistance force against the Rigelian invasion and Desaix's coup d'etat of Zofia, and the elder brother of fellow knight Clair.
